Bougie Dad began as a lifestyle blog for modern fathers.

Over time, it evolved into something much more useful.

Today, Bougie Dad is a buying intelligence platform for modern families.

We focus on products, travel experiences, and everyday upgrades that genuinely improve life.

We don’t chase trends.

We focus on things that are actually worth owning.

Welcome to the #BougieDadLife.

Our audience

Our readers are what we call the Smart Affluent Household.

Busy professionals.
Dual-income families.
Thoughtful spenders.

Typical Bougie Dad readers include families with household incomes between $175,000 and $400,000 who value quality, time, and thoughtful purchases.

They’re not looking for influencer hype.

They’re looking for clear answers.

Our philosophy

Most families don’t need more stuff.

They need better decisions.

That’s why every Bougie Dad article answers the same question:

Is this actually worth it?

If the answer is yes, we explain why.

If it isn’t, we’ll tell you that too.

About the founders

Bougie Dad is led by Corey Murray and Chris Dekmar, entrepreneurs and media operators who have built multiple digital platforms serving professionals, educators, and communities.

Since 2021, they have helped generate more than $4 million in online product and program sales through content-driven marketing, affiliate partnerships, and digital education platforms.

Their experience spans digital publishing, online marketing, professional learning, and audience development.

Bougie Dad applies that experience to a different mission:

Helping families make smarter lifestyle decisions.

Meet the dads

Corey. Father of “Saboo-boo.”  Before his daughter came along in 2019, Corey lived and worked in downtown Washington, D.C. He ate at Michelin-star restaurants, frequented speakeasies and spent Saturdays at Trunk Club. Two years, one baby and one global pandemic later and life has changed, to say the least. Fashion and food are still big parts of his life. So is his wife and his daughter (and scotch) — and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Chris. Father of “E” (one-year-old). Prior to becoming a dad, Chris and his wife packed what they could fit in their car and moved around the country, staying at AirBnBs while his wife finished her medical school training. While in California, they frequented wineries all over the state and brought a collection of 22 cases (as much as they could fit in the trunk) with them to Atlanta where they now live in a townhome in West Midtown.
